search engine optimization (SEO) is simply leveraging the organic content & appearance of your site to perform better on search engines, primarily Google. SEO work typically includes adding relevant target keywords, new pages, word count, image alt text, descriptions & fixing internal/external links… just getting real hands on in a site’s backend. any site, new or dated, is a candidate for SEO.
think of Google as the teacher calling out names for roll call, and SEO as the hand you raise to signal your site as present.
